Utilising Social Media To Increase Sales

Social Media is a powerful way of getting one's message across.

But is Social Media an Effective Tool for increasing Sales / Revenue?

Indirectly - Yes.

Social Media should never be your number one sales strategy, but simply compliment your overall strategy. If you get it right, it's a very effective and powerful compliment. But if you get it wrong, you may as well be throwing sand in the air.

Getting It Right

1. Identify Who You Are and the Value you bring. Then use Social Media to let people know - Who You Are and the Value you bring. It's all about Claiming and Declaring Your Identity.

2. Identify your Target Audiences Likes, Dislikes, Habits, Lifestyle, Dos' and Don'ts, Age Range, Preferred Mode of Communication, Preferred Mode of Social Medium etc etc.
By doing this you not only ensure you're speaking their 'Language' but also make sure you're utilising the right social mediums.

3. Be Consistent and Persevere. It simply doesn't happen overnight. Your aim is to Get Into Your Target Market's Subconscious - that you are the 'Go-To' Person / Company when it comes to a particular Product / Service. This takes Time, Consistency, and Perseverance.

Assessing and Devising Social Media Strategies For Sales is one of the key modules of the Master of Sales Executive Programme.
