So what is and isn't acceptable when it comes to dress?
Although it's almost impossible to answer this in great detail there are three factors that you should always consider.
1. Culture
Consider the Culture of the people you're meeting with when deciding what to wear. Always respect the ways and norms of different cultures.
Remember - what is 'normal' in your world may not be at all 'normal' in theirs. And as you're the one that's seeking their business / patronage, the onus is on you to step out of your own world and enter seamlessly into theirs.
2. Company Policy
Familiarise, Understand, and Respect the dress code / policy of the company you work for.
3. What you wear should complement who you are - your brand.
