Wholeness




" I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord's holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses all knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."

Ephesians 3 vs 17 - 19

The above verse suggests that the only way to truly know God is to grasp and understand how much he loves us. 

There aren't too many people on this planet who don't experience some form of insecurity. If many of us were to analyse the root cause of our insecurities we would most likely find a desire / thirst for Love and Appreciation.

Imagine for a moment that you're a beautiful plant in a well saturated and perfectly nourished flowerbed. The flowerbed is the very epitomy of Perfect, Unconditional, and Unyielding Love. It forms the basis of your Energy, Drive, and Wholeness - feeding you with Unconditional Love every second of your life. But over time, as a result of doubts, mistakes, failings, fears, things not going the way you wanted them to, and various negative experiences that result in a disconnect of your true identity in Christ,  you become less and less rooted in that flower bed.  

What do you think will happen?

Because you were created and designed to be filled with God's Love you will naturally begin to look for other ways to fill the vacuum; and by so doing more often than not look in all the wrong places; at times demanding for this perfect and unconditional love from people, places, or things from whom or which it simply isn't possible; and there begins the vicious spiral into years of insecurity. 

The only Sure, Absolute, and Unconditional Love, Approval, and Appreciation is the Love of God. 

God said, "Let us make man in our own image."

Wholeness can only come from remaining rooted and planted in that flower-bed of your true identity in Christ, such that you can continually enjoy being nourished as you daily  experience, understand, and embrace the Unconditional Love of God.
